Windows based network auditing

Ok, today I've been trying to get a device on my network to respond.  I completely forgot what IP it was assigned and I can't seem to find it in my DHCP tables.... so now I'm doing some investigative work to figure out exactly what IS on my network.

Here are some tools for windows based network audits:

First and foremost, you should get WinPCap, it allows programs direct access to the network.  A most for most every network tool.

Looking for a quick way to scan your network without getting complex tools like nmap?  Try Angry IP Scanner

Never tried it, but I like the idea: TheNetworkToolkit a usb key or cd that contains everything you need for quick access to network audit tools.
