IRC - Internet relay chat still has a place.

Lately I've been using IRC again. Which is funny cause I haven't had a need for it in a long time. I used to be a long time efnet user, but now I really only ever go on the irc.freenode.net networks.

What I love about IRC these days is that Open Source projects have chat rooms where people who like the project hang out and discuss trying to get the program working and fellow users help each other out. In many ways, freenode provides the communication and community that open source software sometimes fails to provide. My thoughts anyways.

I want this page to serve as a place for me to put information on how to use IRC and what are nice tools when you get there.

I've heard very good things about the eggdrop bot.
