M-Audio AV30 speaker repair

A friend of mine gave me a free pair of M-AUDIO AV-30.
The speakers never worked right, only one side would play.
NICE SHOOTING: How to make M-Audio AV30's into passive speakers
First I tried replacement of the blown out caps, this was a waste of time since it didn't help. Later I found that it was apparently a faulty volume knob, and I tried fooling around with that, but decided to be safe and go passive.

I replaced the amp with a T-amp, and I completely removed the board/transformer/etc. No worrying about cutting the proper traces and tacking to a solder joint. Nope, just remove the speaker and tweeter, splice. Works great.
