I use quickbooks right now for my own business. I do this because it is what everyone else uses. Accountants are used to it... However, quickbooks is not the best program in the world. I can't stand to use it myself.

It does provide a simple way to track your business activity with some certainty if bank reconciliations are done. But all that information is now locked up in Quickbooks...data needs to flow...

Synergration - AccessBooks RealTime - Synchronize to an external database - not used it myself, but looks interesting.
