Sending SMS messages to cellphones from the PC.

Ok, so in the past I've setup my servers to send SMS messages when the system goes down and comes back up. Lately I've not had SMS so I haven't been thinking about it.... but since I got the new phone and a bunch of SMS message allowances... I'm revisiting.

If you want to be able to send SMS by email just use the following addresses:
T-Mobile:phonenumber@tmomail.net
Virgin Mobile:phonenumber@vmobl.com
Cingular:phonenumber@cingularme.com
Sprint:phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon: phonenumber@vtext.com
Nextel: phonenumber@messaging.nextel.com
where phonenumber = your 10 digit phone number

Apparently, you can also use the service Teleflip.com which basically figures out which provider to send to automagically.
So you can do This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
